Summer of '98

In this shrinking world of fear
you have left me alone dear.
I know you had to leave,
but that is something I utterly grieve.

…and from that moment on
  happy moments of love disappeared
  and gone…

In the limitless wilderness of time
this empty little heart of mine
had fallen prey to a hungry canine!
When you were here
you filled up my days, dear,
with your serene ray of cheer.

But I will wait, I will wait
till the ships back up to the shores
and you hold my hand in yours.

I will be there for you
  if you should need me.

I will be there for you
  if you wanna love me.
